This celebrated novelist, patron and chief advisor of this festival, has written over 500 short stories, essays and novels. He has received the Padma Shri, the Sahitya Akademi Award, the Sahitya Akademi's Bal Sahitya Puraskar, and the Delhi Government's Lifetime Achievement Award.


'Nandita Das has acted in more than 40 feature films in 10 different languages. She made her directorial debut with Firaaq, in 2008, that won many accolades and appreciation, both in India and abroad. She was on the jury of the Cannes Film Festival twice (2005 and 2013), among others. She has a Master’s degree in Social Work and is a strong advocate for issues of social justice and human rights. Nandita's second directorial venture, Manto, based on the life and works of Saadat Hasan Manto, had its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018, and released in theatres in India on September 21, 2018.'


Jairam Ramesh, is an Economist and Indian Politician who has severed in various key capacities in the Govt of India.In the year 2009, he was the Indian Minister of State (Independent Charge) at the Ministry of Enviroment and Forest. Later in 2011, he was appointed Minister of Rural Development with an additional charge of the Head of Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation. He has authored several books and is a regular contributer to leading newspapers on issues that are quite diverse and eclectic. His push on reforms on environmental concerns and wildlife during his tenure as the Environmental minister was a remarkable paradigm shift with respect to the relationship between ecology and democracy. Ramesh is a Scholar at heart and prefers to extend scholarship as a hammer to make a policy point. His style of politics and engagement with scholarship looks towards an inclusive policy solution, which in a way makes him a rare genre of Scholar with an outstanding insight of Politics and Society at large .


Nikhil Taneja is a writer-producer, who swears by Aaron Sorkin, Chandler Bing & Andaz Apna Apna, and thinks 'Taneja Main Hoon, Mark Idhar Hai' is a witty thing to say in a bio. An engineer by degree, he's so far created a sitcom, and produced a thriller and six TV films for MTV. He currently works at Yash Raj Films as a creative producer for Y-Films and teaches at Jai Hind College on weekends. He spends any remaining time watching movies and TV, or trying to write them.


Amrita Tripathi is a freelance journalist as well as a novelist. On a break from Television News currently, Tripathi is an independent consultant, a free agent, novelist and a collector of identities. She is passionate about gender rights and about raising awareness on mental health issues. 


Savi Sharma is the author of best-selling novel Everyone has a Story - It is an inspirational story of Dreams, Friendships, Love & Life. She is also the co-founder of motivational media blog 'Life & People' where she writes about positivity, meditation, law of attraction and spirituality.


Aparna Jain is a certified Integral Master coach, marketing consultant and an author. She has spent the last 23 years across various industries in corporate India and in media, in roles ranging from business development to marketing. Jain is also the author of two books - one a family project called The Sood Family Cookbook and the more notable Own It: Leadership Lessons From Women Who Do, which was shortlisted for the Tata Lit Live Festival’s Business Book of the Year category in 2016.


Ashik is a avid traveller,blogger and a story teller of 'conversations'. He believes conversations can heal the world if people talk to each other with an open heart. He is currently in a tour of 100 days travelling India, where, he is meeting people and organisations who have chosen to live and work with a difference understanding the stark realities that the society is currently undergoing.


Anamika Mishra is an author of 3 bestselling books namely Too Hard To Handle, VoiceMates and the recently released- For The Sake Of Love. She is also a travel & lifestyle blogger and a motivational speaker.


Srivi Kalyan is an artist, designer, educator, writer and research scholar. She works at the fluid and exciting intersection of arts, media, education, design, environment and self-reflection. She has a Masters in Arts in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, Cambridge and a Masters in Fine Arts from Stella Maris College, Chennai. Srivi has authored and illustrated several books for children and adults and is an award winning writer and illustrator. She has worked for some of the leading educational/edutainment organizations like Sesame Street, NCERT, idiscoveri, Katha, Tulika, Birla Edutech, Macmillan, Young Zubaan, Ilango’s Art space. She is the Associate Dean for the School of Law, Environment and Planning at Srishti Institute of Art Design and Technology, Bengaluru, India. Her ongoing doctoral research focuses on Indian philosophical traditions, aesthetics and personal art practice to uncover intrinsic ecological consciousness. Blending expertise in research and practice across multiple disciplines, Srivi brings transdisciplinary approaches and insights to her work.



Jai Unudurti has a background in journalism and writes for leading publications on travel and popular culture. He started "Every City is a story"- a unique city-centric graphic storytelling initiative. His current projects include The cities beneath,a collaborative graphic novel between Hyderabad and Hamburg and The Game, a tale with an occult backdrop. His other interests include chess and science-fiction.


He was part of the Special task force in the recently devastating floods at Kerala. He was awarded for his role in the rescue operations by various district goverments in Kerala. He is a doctor by profession and is serving in various capacities on national student run medical organisations. Beyond being a medical practisioner, he enagages on issues that concern the environment and workers welfare.


An alumnus of Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi, She, began writing poetry while at school in the United States, and later in her hometown, Bhubaneswar. Much to the chagrin of her high-school English teacher, she decided to pursue Science and went on to graduate in Economics. Changing Hues is her first collection of poems written across two decades as writing took a backseat during the initial years of her career as a Human Resource professional. She presently works in the senior management of Steel Authority of India Limited at the Rourkela Steel Plant. Her best friends are her two sons, Piyush, an entrepreneur and Prayas, a PR professional. She loves life and indulges in prolific travel, reading and music. At the core of her being, she is a spiritual seeker. She is deeply committed to the mission of transforming the society by strengthening the individual.
