DIWALI CELEBRATION 26TH OCTOBER 2011

Diwali celebration was organized at our campus for those who stayed back on the campus for different reasons. School provided lots of fireworks to the students and the celebration programme began at 6:00 p.m outside the Boarding houses. A beautiful evening, with lots of fun and fireworks! We had a great time together, enjoying and cherishing every moment spent together on this festival of lights. The programme ended with a dinner on the lawn. Let there be light!

Here’s a short write up from Wikipedia about Diwali : ‘Diwali popularly known as the "festival of lights," is a festival celebrated between mid-October and mid-November for different reasons. For Hindus, Diwali is one of the most important festivals of the year and is celebrated in families by performing traditional activities together in their homes. For Jains, Diwali marks the attainment of moksha or nirvana by Mahavira in 527 BC.’
